Next is a universal planner and organiser designed to help you define your goals, break them down into actionable tasks, focus on what matters, track your progress, and get reminders throughout your entire journey – from ideation to completion.
How you use Next is entirely up to you. It can be a simple to-do list, a grocery planner, or a powerful tool for managing complex projects.
Here are 3 quick steps to achieving your goals:
Step 1 – Define your goal
Albert Einstein once said: "If I had an hour to solve a problem, I'd spend 55 minutes defining the problem and 5 minutes thinking about the solution."
Be crystal clear on what you want to achieve. Clarity is the foundation of success.
Step 2 – Break it down into small, specific actions Once your goal is clear, break it into very small and specific tasks with target due dates. If needed, break those tasks into subtasks. Small, actionable steps are easier to complete and track.
Step 3 – Focus on one task Start with one specific task. The key is to begin – even if the task list is incomplete or the solution is unclear. The process of work itself will lead to ideas and solutions.

We are excited to introduce significant architectural improvements to Next. While some changes may not be immediately visible, you will definitely notice the difference:
- Everything runs faster, smoother, and lighter
- Calendar day and week swipes are now replaced with a more natural and fluid pan gesture
- The message centre now floats independently on top of the calendar, unaffected by day or week changes
- Search has returned to the navigation bar for quicker access, while the menu now focuses solely on Tools, and the year calendar is conveniently placed above the week view
- Countless behind-the-scenes improvements make Next more stable with lightning-fast data loading
Tags - Year plan
Plan your year with clarity by overlaying your tags on the calendar. Whether it is public holidays, family events, school breaks, or potential annual leave days, you can visualize all important dates in one clear, layered view. This makes it easier to spot overlaps, plan vacations, or simply get a better overview of how your year is shaping up.
Quickly add tasks to sections
You can now add tasks directly into a section. Simply tap and hold a section title to create a new task within it. This makes organizing your lists faster and more intuitive, while still allowing you to create tasks outside of any section if you prefer.
Add from Clipboard
Clipboard content is now monitored and detected text is offered for quick task creation.
Multiple reminders
You can now set multiple reminders for a single task, giving you greater flexibility and control. Reminders can be scheduled on the due date itself or at different intervals before it, helping you stay organized and never miss a deadline.
Other changes
- Resolved an issue on iPad where lists created through Assistant would occasionally not be displayed
- Tags now align properly and use space more efficiently in task cell
- You can now vote on the descriptions of each version
- Tasks with location-based reminders now show a highlighted location icon
- Fixed a bug where selecting certain months from the year calendar could unexpectedly jump to the next year
- Resolved an issue with My day activities notifications for selected weekdays
- General usability and performance enhancements
