Tap Stats includes a free 3 day trial and 1 year annual subscription option for $99.99 (auto-renewable). This includes the option to view timestamp data for recorded events for additional video editing options. All the metadata of the clips are streamed live to an external web server for viewing.
Additional Subscription Details:
- Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
- Account will be charged $99.99 for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to account settings after purchase.
- No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription agreement.

The app has been designed BY basketball coaches FOR basketball coaches. The development team has spent countless hours working with coaches at all levels to produce a very simple yet effective Player Efficiency Rating (PER) computational and statistics app. With a simple “+1 tap” the app keeps track of all points, assists, steals/tieups, blocks/deflections, rebounds, charges, missed baskets, and turnovers and automatically calculates PERs and PER/min values.
In addition, there are several other useful tools built into the app. The game clock runs and automatically tracks player minutes so the coach can assess and determine playing time. There are also several counters to keep track of game fouls, timeouts, and opponent scores. Unlike many other apps that require the user to tap several times to record a statistic, Tap Stats RAW implements a +1 entry method to capture all statistics. Make a mistake? No worries, simply tap the back button to undo the entry and continue recording the stats. Finished the game and need to make additional corrections? No worries, simply switch the mode to -1 and decrement the statistic entry as needed. Once the game is over, the user can export the file to a .pdf file so the statistics can be shared with all the players on a team. The user can also upload the entire game statistics to the cloud, allowing coaches and players to view all the PERs and statistics captured during an entire season.
WHAT COACHES ARE SAYING
“After every game, our team reviews the game statistics, not really looking at the individual box scores but the Player Efficiency Ratings (PERs) and the per minute values. The app allows me to create my own algorithm to calculate PERs which is important since every team values the metrics differently. I want to minimize errant shots and turnovers so I place a -2 points on misses and turnovers. During the game, players have it in the back of their minds to make plays that increase their ratings, not plays that decrease their ratings. The app helps me coach and helps the players play better during the game.”
