APISA es una sociedad científica sin ánimo de lucro fundada en Noviembre de 2007 y compuesta por profesionales del sector TIC de la sanidad tanto pública como privada.
La Asociación de Profesionales de Informática Sanitaria de Andalucía se constituye principalmente para los siguientes fines:
- Constituir un cauce de opinión y participación de los profesionales para la promoción y defensa del uso adecuado de las tecnologías y sistemas de la información y comunicaciones aplicados al ámbito de la sanidad, procurando en todo momento que dichos sistemas y tecnologías se diseñen, construyan, implante y mantengan con los máximos niveles posibles de calidad, acordes con el escenario en que tendrán que funcionar.
- Fomentar la comunicación y promover las relaciones de cooperación entre los profesionales de tecnologías de la información y comunicaciones de los diferentes servicios sanitarios (entre distintas ubicaciones geográficas), sea cual sea el dispositivo organizativo en que se encuentren (distritos de atención primaria, áreas hospitalarias, servicios centrales, empresas públicas, empresas subcontratadas, entidades privadas, universidades, etc.) y el ámbito de competencia que tengan asignado.
- Fomentar el desarrollo formativo y la calidad técnica de los profesionales mediante la utilización de cualquier herramienta que permita el intercambio y la difusión de información, así como organizando y promoviendo actividades formativas de cualquier tipo o ámbito y a través de cualquier medio o mecanismo.
- Realizar tareas de asesoramiento y difusión que conduzcan a elevar el nivel de conocimiento y la comprensión que los usuarios y la sociedad en general tienen de los sistemas y tecnologías de la información, principalmente en lo que se refiere al ámbito sanitario.
- Colaborar con cualquier entidad pública o privada mediante el desempeño detareas informativas, consultivas, elaboración de estudios de cualquier tipo, informes técnicos, etc.
APISA fue fundada el 17 de Noviembre de 2007 en Almuñecar por 30 profesionales de las TIC de la salud de todas las provincias andaluzas.
Desde entonces la asociación ha llevado a cabo sus Jornadas Anuales para reunir a sus asociados con objeto de ofrecerles conferencias, debates, mesas redondas, coloquios, etc tratando de facilitar la colaboración entre sus asociados.
En 2012 iniciamos la publicación de las SERIES APISA, en la que anualmente nuestros socios más activos escriben sobre temas relacionados con las TIC sanitarias. Hasta el momento hemos publicado un libro en la serie CALIDAD y otro en la serie SEGURIDAD. Tambíen en 2012 iniciamos la promoción de estudios de investigación relacionados con el sector dotando a los socios investigadores con modestas becas para ayudarles a llevar a cabo sus estudios de investigación.
Pueden formar parte de APISA las personas cuya actividad profesional esté relacionada con los sistemas y tecnologías de la información en el ámbito sanitario.
