- This release introduces micro contributions to the Wikipedia iOS app: Try out Suggested Edits! Suggested Edits present opportunities for small but vital contributions to Wikipedia. The first task we are offering is to add images to articles that do not have them. “Add an image” is available to experienced logged-in editors, and can be accessed via the Explore feed. Through this feature, you can:
Review a feed of suggested image and article matches
Access the article and image details to determine if it’s a good fit
Decide whether to add the image to the article with a caption and alt text, or reject and share feedback on why the image does not belong in the article to improve our algorithm
We have also improved the “edit summary” step within the app, to assist editors in leaving meaningful rationale for their edits and the ability to watch articles. Now you can:
Add an article to your Watchlist as you enter your edit summary, or see if the article is already on your watchlist
Open guidance on edit summaries, minor edits, and your watchlist
