描述
Die App zeichnet sich durch Großaufnahmen der einzelnen Bienenarten auf. Die Fotos wurden von Hans Schwenninger mit großem technischen Aufwand unter Verwendung von Focus-Stacking aufgenommen und anschließend freigestellt. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der eigens für diese App von erfahrenen Taxonomen (Erwin Scheuchl, Hans Schwenninger) erstellte Bestimmungsschlüssel, mit dem auch Laien durch das einfache Auswählen einzelner, aufwändig konzipierter Merkmale intuitiv und einfach zum Ziel kommen. Für die Bestimmung können viele spezifische Körpermerkmale wie Körpergröße, Tergitbinden, Anzahl der Mandibelzähne, Scopafarbe uvm. gewählt werden.
Somit ist diese App die einzig ernstzunehmende Wildbienen-Bestimmungs-App in Deutschland.
Die App Wildbienen ID BienABest war Teil des Verbundprojekts BienABest, welches das Ziel hat, die Ökosystemleistung „Bestäubung durch Wildbienen“ bundesweit zu sichern und zu steigern. Der Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI e. V.) koordinierte das Gesamtprojekt. Verbundpartner ist die Universität Ulm. Dieses Förderprojekt des Bundesamts für Naturschutz (BfN) wurde im Bundesprogramm Biologische Vielfalt mit Mitteln des Bundesministeriums für Umwelt, Naturschutz und nukleare Sicherheit (BMU) gefördert.
Jedes Artportrait enthält eine Bienentafel, auf der der ganze Körper der Biene von oben abgebildet ist, sowie ein weiteres freigestelltes Bild das den Kopf von vorne zeigt. Die Tafel kann angeklickt und so vergrößert werden, sodass noch mehr Details der Bienen sichtbar werden.
Sie können die App nutzen um Beobachtungslisten anzulegen, und diese sowohl für den Eigengebrauch als auch für wissenschaftliche Kartierungs-Aktionen zu exportieren.

• Vergleichen-Funktion zum direkten Vergleich von Tafeln und Verbreitungskarten von bis zu 8 Arten auf dem iPhone und bis 16 Arten auf dem iPad

Abonnement:
208 zusätzliche Bienenarten können zu einem Jahrespreis von 19,99€ erworben werden. Diese Arten werden nach dem Kauf ebenfalls für den Bestimmungsschlüssel freigeschaltet und enthalten ausführliche Beschreibungstexte sowie die Verbreitungskarten Deutschlands.
Abonnements werden jährlich abgerechnet. Die Bezahlung erfolgt über Ihren iTunes-Account, sobald Sie den Kauf bestätigt haben. Das Abonnement verlängert sich automatisch, solange Sie nicht mindestens 24 Stunden vor Ablauf der aktuellen Aboperiode kündigen. Ihr Account wird innerhalb von 24 Stunden vor Ablauf des aktuellen Abonnements belastet.
