Ja, diese App kostet ein kleines Bier, doch schützt sie an Orten, in denen man ein solches trinkt. Das Telephon liegt noch offen auf dem Bistrotisch, der Eigentümer befindet sich auf Tö und eine Nachricht taucht auf, die weißgott nicht für alle Augen bestimmt ist. Oder es gilt, eine einigermaßen private Botschaft an jemanden zu schicken, der zu gerne vergisst, alle Nachrichtendienste auszuschalten. Auch in einer Konferenz oder während einer Präsentation.

Nicht gut, wenn die eventuell sogar romantische Einladung in ein sehr privates Restaurant für alle Teilnehmer eines Online-Seminars auf dem Bildschirm als Nachricht erscheint, da im Hintergrund noch Skype läuft, oder Signal, oder ein anderer Dienst. Besser, man verschlüsselt daselbst zur Sicherheit, als Sender einer Nachricht.

Der Kryptologe nennt den Code, den diese App bietet, einen einfachen Caesar, kinderleicht zu knacken. Doch darum geht es nicht. Die KI kann ihn nicht lesen, das immerhin, und die Leute im Seminar oder am Bistrotisch auch nicht. Und wir arbeiten und ändern den Code regelmäßig. Ein kleines Bild in der App informiert vollkommen unauffällig über die aktuelle Version.

Handschlag: 3€ für eine App ohne jegliche Datensammlung, ohne Registrierung und weitere Nachfragen oder Pop-Ups? Sie ist nicht hipp und sieht auch nicht so aus, arbeitet nicht mit Social Media, doch die Nachrichten lassen sich trotzdem in andere Applikationen einfügen.

Und PS: Auch die Leute, die die App nicht haben, können den Code in Klartext lesen. Dazu mehr Informationen auf der Webseite.
