The app includes a map function, with wind and precipitation overlays and can tap into live weather buoy information including wave heights, wind gusts, humidity, and water temperature.

New and current users of Scuttlebutt have the ability to enjoy new feeds to assist with trip planning from NOAA chart data; route plotting software from Savvy Navvy; and Points of Interest from Waterway Guide showcasing marinas, yacht clubs, bridges, and anchorage information.
