Το έργο στοχεύει στη δημιουργία μίας εφαρμογής περιήγησης με φυσικές και ψηφιακές ξεναγήσεις σε αρχαιολογικούς χώρους. Σκοπός του είναι η ανάδειξη των χώρων αυτών μέσω μίας ολοκληρωμένης βιωματικής εμπειρίας με τη χρήση Αυξημένης Πραγματικότητας (AR).
Η αρχαία Μεσσήνη θα είναι ο χώρος με βάση τον οποίο θα ξεκινήσει ο σχεδιασμός και η πιλοτική χρήση της εφαρμογής. Ο συγκεκριμένος αρχαιολογικός χώρος προσφέρεται για την πιλοτική δημιουργία της εφαρμογής λόγω του ότι είναι ένα άθικτο πολιτιστικό κέντρο με μεγάλο αριθμό μνημείων χτισμένο σε ένα φυσικό τοπίο.
