# Collect data with your watch.
All it takes is the tap of a button on your watch to start taking data. Done logging? You can view a short summary of the deployment on the watch.
# Log data from up to five sensors.
Need to know where you are? GPS provides latitude and longitude. Want to know how the watch is moving three-dimensionally through space? The onboard accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass measure acceleration, angular velocity, and magnetic field. Got an Apple Watch Ultra? Then you also get water temperature and depth.
# Get automatic geotagging
Location Services uses information from cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS networks to determine your location. Updated every second, you get latitude and longitude up to an accuracy of 10 meters!
# Set it and forget it!
Water lock is turned on when logging so you don’t accidentally stop taking data if the screen is touched.
# View data with your phone.
Once logging is stopped, all records are automatically stored on iCloud, where they can be accessed from Bob’s phone interface. Here you can explore your data in detail with maps that show your location and trajectory, charts that show time series, and even data tables with raw values.
# Easily share your data
Send your data to anyone, anywhere with the same sequence you’d use to share your favorite cat photos. Text, Email, WhatsApp, Google Drive, Dropbox, Airdrop, etc.; a simple popup menu lets you share your data instantly.
# Helpful data formats
Data is exported as a JSON to play nicely with any data processing software. Included metadata meets the strict standards set by our in-house oceanographer, because no one wants to wonder whether the water temperature is 32°C or 32°F.
