การจัดงานกิจกรรม หรือ อีเว้นท์ สามารถเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการลดปัญหาภาวะโลกร้อนได้ ด้วยการทำกิจกรรมชดเชยคาร์บอน โดยส่งเสริมให้มีการจัดหาคาร์บอนเครดิตจากโครงการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจกในประเทศไทยมาชดเชยกับก๊าซเรือนกระจกที่ปล่อยออกมาจากกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ของการจัดงานเพื่อทำให้ก๊าซเรือนกระจกลดลงเท่ากับศูนย์ เรียกว่า Carbon Nuetral
เพื่อเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกในการคำนวนคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ที่เกิดจากงานกิจกรรม ทางองค์การบริหารจัดการก๊าซเรือนกระจก (องค์การมหาชน) หรือ อบก.
ได้จัดทำแอพพลิเคชั่น CF Event (ซึ่งย่อมาจาก Carbon Footprint Event Calculator หรือแปลเป็นไทยว่า เครื่องคำนวณคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ของงานกิจกรรม)
โดยจะให้ผู้ใช้นั้นเลือกใส่ข้อมูลของงานกิจกรรมที่จัดขึ้นมา และยังสามารถส่งการคำนวณไปยังเจ้าหน้าที่เพื่อให้เจ้าหน้ารับรองการคำนวณ
