Mô tả
* Recommend using in a vertical orientation (not lying flat).
* iPhone is locked to portrait mode.
* iPad will adapt to rotation.
* Once device position is settled, use the cross-hair button to calibrate the device - roll and pitch will centre on the screen.
Application features
* Heads-up display (HUD) modelled on the fighter jet FA18.
* Control over which components should display.
* Configurable always on mode so the phone does not hibernate.
* Calibration function to reset the roll and pitch values to align with your devices starting orientation.
* Gauges
* Heading (degrees of North/South/East/West)
* Pitch (up and down motion)
* Roll (left and right motion)
* Metrics in numerical form for pitch and roll, along with current g-force and maximum for session.
* Artificial horizon (blue/brown areas) to emphasise pitch - similar to commercial aircraft.
* Settings dialog allowing all components to be toggled on/off. Saved between runs,
* Accuracy indicator for heading - iPad is not as accurate as the iPhone, particularly when attached to keyboard. Other functionality is the same across devices.
* Support for iPhone and iPad. With the components expanding to make use of extra screen space, and compressing when in dynamic window form.
* The iPhone is fixed to portrait mode, whilst the iPad will adjust and calibrate to rotation.
Privacy/Networking
* No external connectivity required, including GPS.
* All using the internal components of the device.
* No tracking of the device location.
Travel Sickness
While primarily designed for fun, some users have found this app helpful for managing travel sickness during flights. When visual cues are limited (like on an aircraft), the disconnect between what you see and feel can cause discomfort. The HUD's pitch, roll, and artificial horizon—combined with the moving starfield—provides a visual reference point that may help reduce this sensory mismatch.
For best results, secure your device to a stable surface (like a seatback pocket or armrest) or hold it steady while in motion. Results vary by individual, and this should not replace other proven methods—but it's worth trying as a complementary tool.
