ForceMaps is a Safari extension for iPhone that automatically redirects location links from Google search results into Apple Maps or Waze—so you never have to deal with Google Maps again.
When you search for directions, restaurants, or addresses in Safari, Google often tries to open its own Google Maps app or keeps you trapped in Google Maps within Safari. ForceMaps stops that. Instead, it opens the address directly in Apple Maps or Waze, giving you a smooth, native experience without Google's interference.
ForceMaps works seamlessly with your preferred map app. Choose between Apple Maps or Waze as your default navigation app, and all Google location links will automatically redirect to your chosen app. No more "Open in Google Maps?" popups. No more being stuck in Google Maps within Safari. Just fast, clean redirection that keeps you in your preferred navigation app.

We completely rebuilt our link detection engine from the ground up. Here's what's new:
Fixed Call button issue — Tapping "Call" on a business listing now correctly dials the phone number instead of opening Maps
Precise link detection — Only actual Google Maps links and Directions buttons are redirected. Website, Share, Save, Order, Reserve, and other action buttons are never intercepted
Fewer false positives — The extension now stops searching the moment it finds a non-maps link, so nearby buttons no longer get caught in the crossfire
Cleaner, faster code — Reduced from over 1,000 lines to around 430, removing redundant listeners and stale debugging code for snappier performance
