The new Freename Web3 DNS service lets you take a peek into what the future looks like. A future where you can take full advantage of Web3 domains to connect, create, communicate, share, all natively from any connected device or browser.
The Freename DNS leverages NOTO, a new technology developed by Freename that aggregates data of all Web3 domains active on all blockchains and makes them easily available through the same DNS technology you use every day to navigate Web2 domains. NOTO's goal is to enable all ISPs of the world to offer native Web3 domains resolution to all their users.
How to use: Setting Freename DNS
1. In the app, select "Freename DNS"
2. Go to "Settings" > "General"
3. Navigate to "VPN & Device Management"
4. Go to the "DNS" settings
5. Select "Freename DNS"
You can now browse Web3 Domains!
Please note that:
- Being able to fully interact with a Web3 domain depends only in part on its resolution, whether this happens directly from the blockchain or via a DNS query on our nameservers. This depends on factors such as the browser or application you are using and it is beyond the control of Freename.
- These DNS servers are intended to facilitate testing but are not meant to permanently replace the DNS server provided by your ISP. Should you have any issues while using the Freename DNS, you can switch back to your original DNS configuration using the switch in the app.

Easy Domain Resolution: Users can explore Web3 Domains effortlessly by simply adding “http://” before the domain name or a final slash “/” to the URL for proper resolution.
Innovative Web Exploration: By using Freename DNS, users can explore the internet in a novel way, discovering new possibilities and services that are only available through the decentralized web and Web3 Domains.
