- Welcome to version 8.0 of My Game Shelf - the biggest overhaul since version 1.0!
This update brings with is a huge amount of improvements, bug fixes and functionality, which include:
Onboarding & Initial Experience
- Updated app icon
- Ensured pop-ups don't block onboarding flow
- Fixed broken loading view after onboarding and in dark mode
Profile & User Interface
- Improved emphasis of shelf organization
- Improved UI for any missing avatar
- Added information on what preferred platform is
- Added all new fun badges
- Fixed missing shelf names on profiles
- Added ability to remove profile picture
- Created a reminder for users who have not backed up their data
Navigation & Interaction
- Improved UI for more standard navigation
- Fixed broken navigation on some paths through the app
- Improved navigation for games with avatar overlays
Shelves & Game Management
- Implemented horizontal scrolling for search results in sheets
- Added visual indicator showing if game is on a shelf
- Fixed bug when adding currently added games wouldn't always work
- Enabled marking actively playing games as "complete" with review and new game prompts
- Pre-load shelves on app launch for snappier launch
Review System
- Added likes to review sheets
- Fixed issue where canceling review overwrites rating to zero
- Added edit/delete buttons to own reviews on review sheet
- Implemented delete review flow
- Created visual feedback for successful reviews from game detail view
- Improved ratings-only view for games
