We are committed to ensuring the safety of our customers, and we would like to reward those who help us locate batteries which are subject to recall. To show our appreciation, we have created a $100,000 prize pool where participants can win up to $10,000. Eligible contractors who locate and report batteries subject to the Replacement Recall will be eligible for a minimum prize of $50. To participate, contractors can simply complete the registration form in the "Is Your Battery Safe?" app.
To make the process of checking the battery easier, LG Energy Solution has developed the "Is Your Battery Safe?" app. The app allows you to scan the battery's serial number and be automatically entered into the prize pool if the battery is under recall.
The safety of our customers is paramount, and our team is working diligently towards completion of the recalls. The affected batteries have the potential to catch fire, causing serious harm to individuals and properties. We urge you to act swiftly and responsibly if you encounter any recalled LG branded batteries, including those located within Solax products or other cabinet types. Some systems may require immediate isolation, so it is crucial to check your battery and act accordingly.
Please note: consumers can also use the app, but are not eligible for prizes.

By downloading our app and registering your details, you can help us identify affected batteries and prevent any potential accidents. Simply take a photo of the LG Home Battery serial number and submit it through the app. Each entry will give you the chance to win a prize from our total pool of $100,000.
We believe safety should always come first, which is why we are offering monetary incentives to those who help us locate these recalled batteries. Your efforts could save lives.
Whether you are a homeowner or a tradesperson, we urge you to use our app to check the safety of your LG or LG Chem branded battery. Our prizes range from $50 to $10,000!

Push Notifications for Incomplete Registration: We've added push notifications to remind you to complete the registration process. We understand that life can get busy, and this feature ensures that you can fully access the benefits of the app.
Safety Advisory: Your safety has always been our top priority. Previously, we advised that your LG home battery could remain on until a software update was applied. However, after conducting a comprehensive safety review, we now recommend turning off your battery for your safety. We've made this change to ensure your well-being.
Compensation for Inconvenience: We understand that this change may cause some inconvenience and potentially result in additional electricity costs while your battery is turned off. Please know that this decision was made with your best interests in mind. To support you during this period, we're committed to providing compensation to help offset any additional electricity costs you may incur.
