Sir Ricks-a-Lap
Sir Ricks-a-Lap Pro is the ultimate race timer and lap management tool built for schools, clubs, and elite race organizers. Easily track up to 100 runners in real-time with customizable statuses, lap timers, alerts, and more—all from your iPhone or iPad.

Designed for simplicity and power, this app is perfect for PE classes, training sessions, endurance events, and creative competitions. Visual cues, color-coded buttons, and sound alerts keep races engaging and under control.

Features

Live Lap Tracking
Tap to mark lap completions and update runner status in real time.
Custom Runner Management
Add up to 100 runners manually or import from a database.
Status System
Each runner can be set to:
▸ DNS (Did Not Start)
▸ RUN (Currently Running)
▸ INC (Incomplete Lap)
▸ OVR (Overdue)
▸ RTC (Returned to Course)
▸ WIN (Winner)
Smart Button Behavior
▸ Tap black RUN = Start lap (button turns green)
▸ At next lap, green buttons revert to black
▸ Untapped black RUN buttons are marked as OVR
Lap Count + Timer
Countdown-style race clock with lap notifications and sound cues (whistles, airhorns, cowbell).
Manual Sound Control
Toggle “Play Sounds Manually” to access instant sound buttons for hype and announcements.
Silence This Lap
Temporarily mute alert sounds for specific laps—ideal for speech breaks or moment-of-silence scenarios.
Dynamic Leaderboard
Display a scrolling leaderboard with laps completed, lap time, and average pace—great for projecting on a second screen.
Pause & Adjust Mode
Pause the race and edit laps or time in case of power loss or a race interruption.
Auto Save & Recovery
App automatically saves race state and restores progress after closing or restarting the app.

Customization Options

Set race duration
Choose default runner status
Show/hide sound controls
Adjust display brightness and font size
Rename race and manage event details
