Many promotional and service messages come from senders like SUNGSAM, INFO, or PROMO — and iOS does not allow you to block them using standard tools. SMS Filter by Giryaev solves this problem: the app lets you block messages from “text” senders that cannot be added to the iOS block list.

SMS Filter by Giryaev allows you to create two types of filtering rules: by sender (including “text” senders without a numeric number) and by keywords. Each rule can route messages to one of the standard system folders: Spam or Promotions.

SMS Filter by Giryaev does not collect your messages, does not transmit data outside the device, and does not require internet access. Filtering is performed entirely within iOS — using Apple’s secure built-in mechanism.

IMPORTANT!
After installation, the app will not start filtering SMS automatically — this is an iOS limitation. Filtering must be enabled manually in system settings. You only need to do this once.
How to enable SMS filtering:
1. Open Settings → Apps → Messages
2. Scroll down to the Unknown Senders section
3. Enable Screen Unknown Senders
4. Go to Text Message Filter
5. Select SMS Filter in the list
After that, all rules you created in SMS Filter by Giryaev will begin filtering incoming SMS.
