描述
Gameplay begins with an empty grid placed vertically between the players. Each player selects a distinct color—typically red or yellow—and takes turns dropping their colored discs into one of the seven available slots at the top of the grid. Gravity causes each disc to occupy the lowest available space within its chosen column. Strategic thinking is essential, as each move simultaneously aims to create your own four-disc sequence and block your opponent's progress.
Despite its simple rules, Connect 4 encourages strategic depth and critical thinking. Players must carefully anticipate their opponent’s moves, proactively block attempts to form winning alignments, and set up multiple potential pathways to victory simultaneously. Quick decision-making, foresight, and spatial reasoning skills all play crucial roles in achieving success.
