BetterLocale Code – Intelligent localization for Xcode projects on the Mac

Save time and stay in control: BetterLocale Code is a macOS tool for developers who want to maintain localizations in a structured, consistent, and direct way. The app is designed specifically for working with Xcode projects and brings together .strings files, .xcstrings, and .lproj directories in a clear interface.

Instead of confusing editors, copy‑paste, or external spreadsheets, you work centrally on all texts of your project. Whether iOS, iPadOS, macOS, or visionOS: localizations remain traceable, complete, and well maintained.

Import Localizable.xcstrings or complete .lproj structures and edit all texts in a clear editor.

• Spot missing translations instantly
Find empty values, missing languages, and inconsistencies at a glance. Compare languages and keep content consistent.

• XCStrings ↔ .strings conversion
Convert Strings Catalogs to classic .strings files and vice versa. Ideal for migrations, legacy projects, and mixed setups.

• Structured workflow instead of copy‑paste
Create keys, change values, and maintain content without constantly switching between files or views.

You decide how to translate:

1) Template for AI services
BetterLocale Code generates a suitable translation template. You translate externally (e.g., with ChatGPT, Gemini, or DeepL) and paste the result back in. The app automatically recognizes the content and assigns it correctly.

2) Direct translation via API
Translate directly in the app via API. You provide context, tone, and target audience. Supported: OpenAI, DeepL, Gemini, Claude, xAI, and Perplexity. API keys are stored only locally in the macOS keychain.

You can control whether:
• all texts
• only new ones
• or only changed or empty values are translated

BetterLocale Code can be unlocked either via subscription or as a one‑time in‑app purchase for lifetime use.
