Nueva  FrameKeeper - Automatic Screenshots in the Background

FrameKeeper is a lightweight macOS menu bar app that automatically captures screenshots of all connected displays at fixed intervals and saves them directly to disk.

It runs quietly in the background and is designed for documentation, analysis, debugging, time-based reviews, or simply keeping a visual record of your work.

No cloud, no tracking, no accounts … everything stays local on your Mac.

Key Features

Automatic interval-based screenshots
FrameKeeper captures screenshots at configurable intervals:
• 5 seconds
• 10 seconds

All connected monitors are captured automatically.

Menu bar–only design
FrameKeeper lives entirely in the macOS menu bar:
• Start and stop capturing with a single click
• Change capture intervals at any time
• No dock icon, no main window

Multi-monitor support
All connected displays are detected automatically.
Each screen is saved as its own image file.

Skip when idle
Optionally pause screenshot capture while the Mac is idle.
This helps avoid unnecessary images and reduces disk usage.

Custom save location
Choose any folder as the destination for your screenshots.
The save folder can be opened directly from the menu.

File Handling
• Screenshots are saved as PNG files
• Filenames include timestamps and screen identifiers
• Files are written directly to disk without intermediate storage
