Simple Static Site is designed help publish small websites. Sometimes an entire backend or wordpress install is too much, when a few html pages will do instead.
Using Simple Static Site, you can create pages, add some images, and upload it to Amazon’s S3 service with the press of a button.
Because the entire concept of Simple Static Site is to be self-contained, a year or more from now if you want to update your site, all you need is the one save file (and this app). Other platforms use CI, to take updates from a github repo, and publish them. That requires things like accounts and stuff. Simple Static Site only requires an AWS account, configured once. Nothing more.
* Pick one from 3 different themes, to quickly customize your site (And more coming in the next update!)
* Use Markdown to quickly write HTML pages, and publish them to an AWS S3 bucket with one click
* Support multiple authors, complete with mini author profiles
* Upload as many images as you want, or even audio files.
* Make a "raw" style page that can act as a JSON configuration file.
* Include custom CSS and Javascript
* Favicon and Apple Touch Icon support is included
* Put your website into a subfolder, if you want. It’s easy!
* The entire site can be saved as a single JSON file, so you can quickly and easily move it between devices.
* Each site uses its own S3 keys, and they are stored securely in the macOS Keychain, not the save file.
* Create blog posts to keep your content fresh. You can show the latest posts on your homepage too.
