- Customizable Blink Reminders:
Blink Interval Selection: Choose how often you want to be reminded to blink, with options ranging from every 3 to 10 seconds.
Overlay Background Colors: Personalize your reminder experience by selecting from a variety of overlay colors including Black, Yellow, Orange, Purple, and White. These gentle reminders are designed to be non-intrusive, allowing you to continue your work without interruption.
Camera Integration: Utilize your Mac’s camera to monitor your blinking habits. AutoBlink counts your blinks per minute and ensures you’re blinking enough to keep your eyes moist and healthy.
- Engaging User Experience
Upon launching, AutoBlink presents four main tabs: Home, Options, Stats and About, with the Options tab greeting you first. Here, you can customize your blink reminders to suit your preferences.
In the Home tab, you’ll find:
Session Duration Buttons: Choose how long each blink reminder session lasts, with options for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour.
Start Your Session: A large, easy-to-click Start button initiates your chosen blink reminder session.
Session Controls: Pause, replay, or stop your session anytime with straightforward controls.
Blink Metrics: A dynamic display shows your blinks per minute, helping you understand your blinking habits and improve eye health over time.
- Intelligent Blink Detection
When you start a session, AutoBlink does two things: it counts your blinks per minute and watches for blinks. If you haven’t blinked within your set interval, a gentle, animated overlay fades in with your chosen color. This overlay is semi-transparent, ensuring your screen remains visible. As soon as you blink, the overlay disappears, encouraging you to blink regularly without disrupting your flow.
AutoBlink is inspired by real advice from eye care professionals about the importance of blinking, especially during prolonged computer use. It’s not just an app—it’s a step towards healthier, happier eyes. Say goodbye to dry, tired eyes and hello to a more comfortable screen time experience with AutoBlink.
