Currently it scans English text and future versions will add more languages. It also includes a barcode (including QR) reader.
The app also has text-to-speech abilities so you can have text read out to you in one of the many currently supported languages: English / Italian / French / German / Portuguese / Spanish and using a variety of voices and accents. 22 voices ship with this version-all for free.
The app works offline and all processing is done locally. No data leaves your Mac.
You will need to give access to the app via System preferences > Privacy the first time you run the app. This is essential for capturing and reading the screen area selected.

We do not collect, handle or processes any data of our customers and visitors. All app processing is done on the Mac itself without requiring any Internet connection.
