GIF Export — Turn your photo timeline into an animated GIF. Select one photo per day or include every shot, set the playback speed, choose your order, and pick a resolution. Every frame is stamped with the date it was taken.

Photo Favorites — Tap the heart on any photo to mark it as a favorite from the journal editor, photo viewer, or lightbox. Filter to see only favorites or shuffle through the ones you love.

Image Rotation — Rotate photos directly in the editor or photo viewer. Rotation is lossless for JPEGs, preserving full image quality and updating EXIF metadata automatically.

Life Context for Smart Search — Smart Search now understands who you are and how the people in your journal relate to you, giving answers that are more personal and accurate.

New MCP Tools — External AI assistants can now access journal statistics, life context, entry media, emotion search, and person+interest filtering via MCP. Entry creation and updates are gated behind an explicit permission setting.

- Smart Search on the Web now uses the same full-powered engine as the desktop app
- Relationship tags and general tags merged into a single, simpler system
- Smart Search responses no longer get cut off or include stray tokens

- Creating or editing entries via Web UI or MCP now correctly links @mentions and #hashtags
- Deleting entries via Web UI now cleans up associated media files
- Preferences are saved atomically to prevent corruption if the app quits mid-write
