FRIENDLY FIRE DISABLED

- Norman can no longer harm other players in co-op
- Melee swings and projectiles pass through teammates

SURVIVOR RESCUE SYSTEM

- Discover caged survivors scattered across the world
- Break the cage, escort the survivor to a nearby base camp
- Protect them from enemies along the way — they can take damage and die
- Each of the 8 survivors grants a unique permanent bonus:
Marcus (Blacksmith) — +1 weapon rarity on drops
Elena (Medic) — +20% potion effectiveness
Jin (Scout) — 2x minimap enemy range
Rosa (Engineer) — +1 item from supply crates
Dex (Smuggler) — +15% coin drops
Ava (Armorer) — +5 starting armor per run
Kai (Tactician) — Enemies deal 10% less damage
Nora (Herbalist) — Passive HP regen (1 HP/10s)
- In Casual Mode, survivor bonuses last for that session only
- A direction arrow guides you to the base camp during escorts

WORLD IMPROVEMENTS

- Suburban ruins neighborhoods with multi-room houses in the forest ruins biome
- Destroyed cars and trucks scattered along overgrown roads
- Damaged road networks with barriers and intersections in ruins areas
- Lava pools in volcanic biome deal 100 damage per second

BOSS OVERHAULS

- Every boss now has unique mechanics instead of generic rat minions:
Sentinel Core — deploys energy barriers and turrets
Hive Queen — flies above terrain, spawns attack drones, spits acid
War Machine — cycles between attack phase and invincible shield phase
Sand Pharaoh — summons sandstone pillars and desert warriors
Tidal Leviathan — acidic water attacks (no more rats)
Magma Titan — drops lava puddles that persist and burn
Frost Warden — solo ice attacks (no minions)

FLYING ENEMY SYSTEM

- Flying enemies soar above rooftops with ground shadows for depth
- They can shoot over obstacles but cannot attack Norman inside roofed buildings
- Roof protection adds a new layer of tactical cover

NEW MISSIONS (19-41)

- 23 new missions including armory tutorials, boss hunts, specific enemy kills, and weapon merging
- New lore journal entries for every mission
- Pulsing button indicators guide you through tutorial missions

ENEMY SPAWNING IMPROVEMENTS

- More aggressive enemy swarms from level 10 onward
- Spawn caps scale up to 40 enemies at higher levels
- Enemies despawn at reduced range (600 units) at level 10+

BUG FIXES

- Fixed double kill counting on boss deaths
- Fixed journal discovery crash from recursive call
- Fixed casual mode inventory not clearing on fresh start
- Fixed death drops disappearing too quickly in casual mode
- Fixed publishing-during-view-updates warnings
- Fixed flying enemy shadows rotating with the enemy sprite
- Fixed lava damage not ticking correctly
- Fixed boss journal entries missing "boss_" prefix
