• Sped up a particular timeline sorting function by 23x all by itself
• Improved efficiency of the event logger by 95% at app launch
• Greatly improved scrolling performance for text-heavy timeline cells
• Rendering and resizing timeline body text is about 30% faster
• Reduced timeline cell rendering overhead by almost 80%
• Improvements to how older items are pruned from the timeline
• Video thumbnails are handled better when rapidly scrolling
• Improved performance when applying a large number of muffle/mute rules
• Implemented a lock-free index-partitioned parallel record decoder (it's faster and sounds fancy!)

CONNECTOR IMPROVEMENTS

• Tapestry now supports using Bluesky Personal Data Servers (PDS)
• The Reddit connector now imports video aspect ratios when available
• Fixed a typo in the Reddit connector code [Thx vincode-io!]
• Fixed an issue where Feed Finder would fail to find connectors for Mastodon URLs that included a post id directly
• Feed Finder now checks /.well-known/nodeinfo before considering Mastodon connectors rather than relying on HTML patterns

DATA MIGRATION

SPEED & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

• Sped up timeline UI updates by over 2.5x
• Greatly improved image caching to eliminate overlapping requests
• Sped up a particular timeline sorting function by 23x all by itself
• Improved efficiency of the event logger by 95% at app launch
• Greatly improved scrolling performance for text-heavy timeline cells
• Rendering and resizing timeline body text is about 30% faster
• Reduced timeline cell rendering overhead by almost 80%
• Improvements to how older items are pruned from the timeline
• Video thumbnails are handled better when rapidly scrolling
• Improved performance when applying a large number of muffle/mute rules
• Implemented a lock-free index-partitioned parallel record decoder (it's faster and sounds fancy!)

CONNECTOR IMPROVEMENTS

• Tapestry now supports using Bluesky Personal Data Servers (PDS)
• The Reddit connector now imports video aspect ratios when available
• Fixed a typo in the Reddit connector code [Thx vincode-io!]
• Fixed an issue where Feed Finder would fail to find connectors for Mastodon URLs that included a post id directly
• Feed Finder now checks /.well-known/nodeinfo before considering Mastodon connectors rather than relying on HTML patterns

BUG FIXES

• The timeline no longer jumps to top after refreshing [Thx Joel!]
• Fixed a broken flow when opening the Feed Finder from a URL scheme
• Fixed a problem that could corrupt image thumbnail previews [Thx Joline!]
• Fixed links to anchors (footnotes, etc) in the detail view [Thx CHOCK!]
• Fixed a crash when long-pressing preview links like mailto: etc
• Fixed Javascript functions from running on unexpected threads and crashing
• Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause avatars not to load
• Fixed issues w/ HTML entities sneaking into feed names during verification

- There is still a nub that we can't fix: it's arrows displaying incorrectly

Action to toggle the formatting bar on/off, added a new rich text font choice, fixed What’s New appearing when it shouldn’t plus fixed some Tahoe bugs.

All:

• Tot’s What’s New view no longer appears when there’s nothing new
• Added "System (Monospaced)" as a rich text font choice

iOS:

• Added a toggle to turn Tot’s formatting bar on/off:
- Tap the Actions Menu (⋯) and toggle Format Bar
- Increases editing area on smaller devices
• Fixed an issue with Compact Dots button not working

macOS:

• Added “Display as Floating Window” back to menu bar:
- Shift-Command-F is default keyboard shortcut
- You can override shortcut in System Settings
• Added a partial workaround for bug on macOS Tahoe:
- Happens when presenting the popover window and the menu bar is hidden
- Fixed window that was too small and placed incorrectly
- There is still a nub that we can't fix: it's arrows displaying incorrectly
