We just released version 1.0.1, which fixes a number of bugs that QA and our beta testers found after we finished version 1.0. Most of these handle unusual circumstances, like a character dying while in a spirit-induced coma or when about to make a divination, or someone exploring their former homeland. Some related to making advice more relevant (for example, with a child king). On iOS, we made sure that all achievements can be earned. In addition, Harsh games now start with a feud (based on our analysis of beta test games).

Update 1.4 (April 26th, 2023)

Version 1.4 of The Trasamire Campaigns is live. This update brings the following changes:

Claim Victory button now only enables itself when its requirements have been met.

Reset Zoom button now resets to the map's dynamic starting zoom, rather than the true 100% zoom.

Autosaving now triggers when entering and exiting maps, and after any battles involving the player.

Players can no longer get an extra action from loading an after-battle autosave.

Other minor improvements and polish.

Update 1.3 (February 24th, 2023)

Version 1.3 of The Trasamire Campaigns is live. This update brings the following changes:

Added a dice rolls history button to the bottom of the battle UI.

Campaign AI was being too stubborn in admitting defeats on smaller maps. Fixed. This change should help with Campaigns devolving into 1v1 duels.

Minor tuning and polish.

Update 1.2 (February 17th, 2023)

Added a popup to help direct new players to the in-game Help Pages.

Card fixes: Mislead the Market, Sceptre of Faith, Lateral Thinking, Conjured Camouflage, Phantom Riders, and Come Get Us were triggering defensively instead of offensively. Fixed to match their description texts.
Update 1.1 (February 8th, 2023)

Relaxed requirements for AI's surrender in battles. The new threshold is possession of >65% of the map and >50% of the map's total unit count.

Doubled the starting readiness of battalions on campaign maps. This should make more cards useful sooner.

Patch 1.0.15 (31 August 2017) GAMEPLAY CHANGES:

Bosses have been adjusted to make fighting them more challenging and interactive. The most noticeable change is significantly reduced idle times inbetween attacks, and an increases in the damage that some bosses' secondary attacks deal. These changes primarily affect New Game+ difficulty, and less so on the first playthrough.
BUG FIXES:

Fixed a bug where the player could escape from the training course without all of the required items

Tweaked one of the finale maps so that the portal doesn't clip through the ceiling

Fixed an issue where a faint colored box appeared around the forest boss seed core

Fixed a freeze caused by lighting wisps on fire

Fixed a bug where cauldrons would not spawn in the castle during goblin revolution

Increased drop rate of alchemy components (essences and stones)

Stones and essences now drop at an even ratio, instead of all alchemy drops having an equal drop rate (causing stones to appear less often)

Training dummies now display your damage per second (DPS) after receiving damage

Added a stone dummy to the training area. It is knockback immune.

Siren's Seafoam projectiles now begin oscillating upwards regardless of the direction they are fired (left vs right)

Implemented a number of fixes and optimizations to prevent variations in worker productivity during large games:

Fixed an issue where the pathfinding thread could gain a backlog of path requests from workers, resulting in workers waiting in place for noticeable periods of time. This would sometimes have a large impact on game economy productivity when there were large numbers of active workers.

Optimized the pathfinding priority system to reduce the impact on frame rates

Implemented a caching system for worker pathfinding to drastically reduce the need to generate new paths. Keep and barracks paths are also cached and reused.

Special attention has been given to woodcutters, due to their importance to the economy:

Fixed an issue where one player's woodcutters could set unreachable trees to be momentarily ignored and it would incorrectly affect all players' woodcutters

Reduced the number of paths that woodcutters require to complete their work cycles

Woodcutters should generally spend significantly less time searching for trees due to the path fixes

Fixed emigrating peasants jumping up to the keep's rooftop

Fixed an issue where disbanded troops or dismissed workers could join the campfire even when the maximum number of campfire spots (24) were already assigned to other peasants. This could cause issues with new workers taking jobs. These peasants will now remain available for new jobs until they reach the campfire, where they will emigrate if there is still no spot for them.

Patch 0.2 - Creative Mode, Unlimited Savegames and Performance (25 August 2021)

This update is the first of our 0.2 cycle, finally bringing you the creative mode and unlimited savegames along with many performance improvements and more. Keep in mind that we will keep on iterating and improving these features, so be sure to leave us your feedback and suggestions on Discord or in the Forums.

Creative Mode

new game mode with infinite tile stack

option to skip unwanted tiles

creative mode configuration menu giving you control of spawn probabilities of different element types

options to switch individual biomes on or off in creative mode

✿ possibility to continue your classic mode session in creative mode after the session is over

✿ added delete tile functionality: press ui button or rebindable hotkey (Alt by default) to enter "deletion mode" - when active, click on any tile to delete it

new creative mode sessions start without a starting tile

Save Load System

✿ support for an unlimited amount of savegames in both classic and creative mode

one autosave slot each for classic mode and creative mode

every saveslot behaves like an autosave slot as well as soon as it has been saved once

store a screenshot for each savegame, which is displayed in the savegame selection menu and on savegame related confirmation screens

reworked game mode and savegame selection screen

Performance

fixed issues causing huge memory usage when loading or quitting a game - this should reduce loading and quitting times by up to 75%

reworked the rendering system - this should significantly improve the rendering performance for trees, houses and decoration

changed biome transition zones for trees: instead of blending their colors, trees between biomes are scattered to create mixed forests

toggling decoration on and off should now be almost instant and decoration costs much less performance in general

reduced particle effect memory usage

enabled incremental garbage collection to reduce performance spikes

Bugfixes

✿ prevent tile placement while over an ui element (sometimes causing accidental placements when clicking a button)

✿ fixed scroll view in settings menu, allowing all players to reach parts of the menu being cut off in widescreen resolutions

fixed game getting stuck when reaching GameOver in tutorial

Localization

✿ updated localization for most languages

✿ fixed typos in Simplified Chinese and Polish

✿ added missing character to Ukrainian font

Other

switched to a custom build pipeline, which allows us to build for all target platforms and stores simultaneously

added tooltips for new features

✿ added previously missing tile presets: 3A-2B and 3A-2B-1A

✿ removed tile placement animation for tiles being loaded from a savegame (this could cause faulty screenshots with gaps between tiles)

added information about the specific build number to the credits screen

Note: Not all languages are completely localized, there might be missing texts in Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Hungarian and Norwegian. We will update the translations as soon as they're completed!

Accessibility

✿ Added complete keyboard controls rebinding

✿ Upgraded to a new input system, allowing for controller and other input devices in the future

✿ Added setting to disable dynamic background color. Disabling this will prevent the background color to change when moving through your world.
Balancing

✿ Water Train Stations and lakes now count empty / grass edges as fitting neighbors (counting towards a perfect placement)

✿ Water Train Stations and lakes now only give points for fitting edges

✿ Champion and True Fan challenges are now passive - they always run in the background and trigger when completed, without them needing to be selected as an active challenge
Clarity

✿ Introduced hotkey to highlight flags as well as display markers for quests outside of the screen

✿ Tile Stack counter now changes color to red when falling to 10 or less remaining tiles

Introduced a tooltip system to display info about quests, tile stack, UI elements

Added settings to toggle between different tooltip settings

Small fixes to the tutorial: replaced windmill quest tile in tutorial with normal field quest tile, removed quest info boxes at the top of the screen
Happiness

✿ Replaced "Game Over" text with more friendly "Session Completed"
Localization

Performance Improvements

Depending on individual System specs up to 300% performance/FPS increase due to various performance improvements (tested on Intel HD 530 integrated graphics)

implemented crash reporting system to collect anonymous crash data to locate and reproduce bugs better in the future

Rebuilt and improved shaders for buildings and adapted its color sets

Decreased texture memory size that is used for buildings

Improved water shader performance
Usability

✿ Added hotkey for resetting the camera to its original position

✿ Improved touchpad input support

Bugfixes

✿ Synchronized rewards & challenges data to prevent issues of boats, trains and other quest tiles not being spawned after their challenge was completed

✿ Fixed Bug that occurred in the tutorial when a quest was failed

✿ Fixed model variation in the late game that sometimes was held back due to a bug

✿ Fixed tile duplication bug when quitting the game while a tile is previewed

✿ Fixed challenge fulfilled effects sometimes triggering twice

✿ Fixed settings language dropdown items order (selected language should stay the same as before)

✿ Segments no longer keep references to other segments that aren't directly connected to them, which could cause wrong vehicle behavior

✿ Fixed bug that caused inactive Challenges to trigger while playing the Tutorial

✿ Fixed issue where game could stuck when rotating or previewing a tile at a location where multiple of its segments connect to the same element group

✿ Fixed a bug where loading a game would cause preplaced tiles to be created twice, causing issues like overlapping preplaced tiles or them not being connected properly

✿ Fixed an issue where preplaced tiles would not appear when loading big worlds or cause other wrong behavior
Other

✿ Increased the max zoom out distance by 50% - even higher zoom distance will be added once we improved the general performance

Added screen at the beginning of the game to opt-in or out of Unity Analytics data collection - this screen can also be accessed via the "Privacy" button in the menu

Display fallback localization (English) if the localization for a certain field is missing

✿ Challenge completed effect does not trigger automatically on start of the game anymore if the requested quest goals were already achieved due to the balancing adjustments

Patch 0.1.2 - Bugfixes & Improvements (15 April 2021)

Accessibility

Fixed tilestack to be cut off on 16:10 & 4:3 screens when starting a new game via the "start game" - button in tutorial or the "try again" button

Fixed tutorial textbox overlapping the tile counter on 16:10 & 4:3 screens

Cleaned up the resolution settings (not every single resolution & refresh rate is displayed anymore)

Balancing

Preview Tiles keep spawning after challenges are unlocked

When completing a challenge during a session, the next level of the challenge starts immediately Tile Generation: less sharp train track & water curves

Balanced some challenges to make them more likely to be fulfilled

Preplaced tiles can no longer be 'exactly X tiles'-quests and only 'at least X tiles'-quests

Clarity

Increased intensity of group edge highlighting while hovering over a flag or quest bubble

Increased intensity of group object highlighting while previewing a valid tile on an adjacent slot

Added effect at tilestack counter showing whenever a gameplay action grants new tiles

Fixed leaderboard rank not being displayed correctly

Happiness

Changed the game over sound from grumbling to smiling

Localization

Added Turkish localization

Added Spanish localization

Updated Latin-Spanish localization

Perfect Placement Text is now localized

Fixed settings language dropdown items order (selected language should stay the same as before)

Performance

Clear progress in menu now also resets the local highscore. If a leaderboard entry exists, this local highscore is overwritten by the leaderboard highscore

Fixed preplaced tile hint that sometimes disappeared and/or changed its type after saving & loading the game

Changed preplaced tile spawn behavior: it is only possible to spawn the same preplaced tile on the map if all of them have been already discovered otherwise there is always a new one to discover

When a preplaced tile is connected, newly spawned tileslots are no longer invalid, falsely preventing fitting tiles to be placed on them

Challenge completed does not trigger automatically on start of the game anymore if the requested quest goals were already achieved due to the balancing adjustments
Patch 0.1.1 - Bugfixes & Improvements (29 March 2021)

Bugfixes:

Several measures added to prevent getting stuck in loading screen due to corrupted save files

Prevented loading duplicate of the current world by pressing "I", causing overlapping and flickering tiles

Translucent UI no longer disabled when frame cap is turned off

Prevented DivideByZero exceptions when detecting mouse wheel input close to 0

Graphic Improvements:

Replaced FrameCap with VSync settings

Background color changes slower when hovering over different biomes

Other:

Game not running in background anymore

Implemented measures to easier detect leaderboard cheating

Highscore only updated once every 2 minutes or at Game Over to prevent running into steam upload limit
