The adventure unfolds across six unique worlds, each containing five levels that offer diverse challenges: from platforming stages filled with puzzles — inspired by games like ElecHead — to intense boss battles and fast-paced shoot ’em up levels. Each world is meticulously crafted in pixel art, with a color palette inspired by the classic Rainbow Islands, giving the game both a nostalgic and visually appealing atmosphere.
As they progress, players face enemies under the control of darkness, including corrupted animals and Aztec warriors. Axel, with his ability to immobilize enemies and use them as platforms, opens new paths, while Bowie, in his dedicated shoot ’em up stages, destroys them with his divine bow. The game features multiple endings, shaped by the player’s choices throughout the adventure.
Two protagonists with unique abilities: Axel freezes enemies and uses them as platforms, while Bowie fights through shoot 'em up stages, eliminating threats.
Six Aztec-themed worlds: From jungles to ancient temples, each world contains five levels with different enemies, puzzles, and final bosses.
Retro pixel art graphics: A colorful and nostalgic aesthetic in 320x240 resolution, inspired by the classic Rainbow Islands.
Two game modes that define the level of difficulty:
Story Mode: more accessible, with infinite retries and saved progress after each level—like ElecHead or VVVVVV.
Arcade Mode: designed for expert players, with limited lives and objectives to complete in a single playthrough—like Rainbow Islands.
Stage-based progression system: You don’t need to finish the whole game in one sitting if you don’t want to.
Two different endingsdepending on the level of challenge achieved.
Immersive and culturally inspired narrative: The story is based on an Aztec prophecy and unfolds through illustrated intros and endings, creating a rich and meaningful experience.
