Halloween Event (now until October 31)

A special HALLOWEEN ONLY fish has been added that you can catch to add to your collection! The Spooky Bass! Better get to fishing it up! It is only in the water until October 31st!

Jack-o'-lanterns, a graveyard, cobwebs, bats and ghosts around the river after dark.

A witch has set up camp by the tents, stirring her bubbling cauldron.

The aquarium gets dressed up too: sunken pumpkins, headstones, a glowing cauldron, a drifting ghost and a moonlit backdrop.

Winter is coming

When winter arrives, the river freezes over, snow settles on everything, the broadleaf trees go bare and your angler's breath shows in the cold. Rain turns to snow and storms become blizzards.

Thanksgiving Event coming soon

The next holiday event is on the way. Keep an eye on the river in late November!

Aquarium improvements

You can now hide the coins panel above your angler. Bring it back, or open the menu, any time from the tray icon.

Settings > Season: follow the calendar, or keep it summer or autumn all year.

Settings > Halloween: turn the Halloween decorations and music off if you prefer the river as it is.

The Future

Spring is not yet in the game along with most of the holidays. I will be releasing each holiday as an individual update once we get around to the appropriate times of year for these events. If you are just now stumbling on this post, I intend to continue development of Patchy for as long as it makes sense too. If there is demand, content will continue to come.

One of the first updates after release will feature many more fish. I hope to double to amount of non-holiday fish in the game pretty quickly. Also, as for DLC I do have two river theme dlc packs planned both of them will be low cost. They will not include anything you can't get in the base game outside of the river theme itself. So no new achievements or fish you can't get outside of the base game. My intention is for these river themes to be built specifically for those who want to support this game development dream of mine.
