An OSINT watch floor, one screen, one clock. Reports land on your feed faster than you can read them. Some are real. Some were planted to make you move a unit, burn an asset, or look the wrong way for ninety seconds.
FOUR ARTIFACTS, ONE LIE
Every report carries an agency, a timestamp, a position and a body of text. A fabricated one is internally consistent in three of them and contradicts itself in exactly one — a Sahel bureau reporting from the Baltic, a timestamp that lands before the event it describes, a wire that names a unit that was stood down last week. Cross-check it against the board, anchor the hypothesis, make the call.
THE DESK PUSHES BACK
Reports you leave open drop off on their own. Priority weighs: a FLASH is worth two, a LOW is worth half, and the number that kills you is the one on your desk meter. Call it right and you get credits, intel and classified files. Call it wrong and DEFCON drops, the map lights up, and the next shift is worse.
WHEN THE BUILDING IS BREACHED
Sooner or later they come for you. The desk goes dark and the game switches to a top-down stealth extraction: guards with real vision cones and radios, silent takedowns from behind, procedural floors, and nobody coming to help. Get out alone or get everyone out — the achievements remember which one you chose.

- Second Source v0.9 â one more shift
Version 0.9 is about the urge to play one more shift.
At the desk
• ENDLESS now runs by days. Every five minutes the day closes and you pay for the desk server. If you cannot cover it, a system goes down; in the red, Command sends an emergency contract. Your record is counted in days.
• Last stand. Reaching DEFCON 1 no longer ends the watch on the spot: you get 45 seconds to make three right calls without a single miss. Hold the line and you are back at DEFCON 2 with a bonus.
• What you missed. At the close, the game shows the planted report you published and the exact pair of facts that gave it away.
• No manual. A new player starts straight at the desk with the first report already waiting. The full tutorial is still in the menu.
• Between shifts: the actor that got away comes back, and you can ask for a rematch. Race the ghost of your best shift, cash out early or bet on reaching the end, take one last cable in the late edition, and watch for rare reports.
• FLASH WATCH, a three-minute mode, and an analyst's notebook that tells you which lies you keep missing.
In the escape
• Stones now come in a bag of six, and guards stop falling for the same trick.
• Close calls slow the camera for a breath when a guard almost had you.
• Breath: you can no longer sprint the whole way. Run too long and you are winded.
• Something different every escape: a blackout, heavy rain, a change of guard or extra trains.
• 18 stamps to earn, loot that pays at the desk on your next shift, and the guard who saw you last time is waiting.
Plus many fixes, including the desk sliding under the mouse at 125% and 150% interface scale.
