Pick a business type in Settings and the bot adjusts what it asks and what it offers:
- Restaurant / Cafe - table bookings by guest count, plus a food & drink menu to order from.
- Salon & Spa - appointments where the customer picks a service (haircut, facial, massage...).
- Clinic / Healthcare - consultations and providers, on the same appointment flow as a salon.
- Retail Store - a product catalog to order from, no booking needed.
- Fitness Studio - class bookings by headcount.
- Custom / Other - define your own terminology, booking style, and which flows are on. Pet groomers, tutors, repair shops, event venues - anything that takes bookings or orders on WhatsApp.
RUN MORE THAN ONE BUSINESS, IN YOUR OWN CURRENCY
FrontDesk Assistant can run several businesses from one install at once - a cafe and a salon, or several locations - each with its own WhatsApp number, catalog, customer list, icon and currency (30+ currencies supported). Switch between them from a panel in the sidebar.
WHAT CUSTOMERS CAN DO ON WHATSAPP
- Book - date, time, and either a guest count or a chosen service, checked against real capacity, confirmed with a booking ID. If a slot is full, the bot says so immediately and offers another time - it never silently overbooks.
- Order - a numbered catalog, item selection, a running total, confirmed with an order ID.
- Check status - enter an order ID, get its live status back instantly.
- Leave feedback - a 1-5 star rating and an optional comment. A low rating sends you an instant WhatsApp alert.
- Talk to a human - hands the conversation off to you directly, any time.
Bookings can also run in manual review mode: the bot tells the customer "we'll confirm shortly," and you approve or decline from the dashboard, with the customer notified automatically either way.
A LIVE MANAGER DASHBOARD
Everything the bot does shows up immediately: today's bookings and revenue, a 7-day revenue chart, order-category breakdown, every booking and order, a catalog with full add/edit/delete and an availability toggle that updates the bot instantly, a customer list that upgrades people to Regular/VIP automatically, a retention view for customers who have gone quiet, and Chats - every WhatsApp conversation the bot has had, in full, updating live the instant a message is sent or received.

Every reply is written by hand, in a fixed menu tree - nothing is generated by a language model. All of your business data - bookings, orders, the catalog, customers, feedback, conversation logs - is stored in a single local database file on your PC. Message delivery itself uses WhatsApp's own servers (the same as replying by hand from your phone); FrontDesk Assistant has no server of its own. Full details in the privacy policy.
PRICING
FrontDesk Assistant is $4.99 with a 1-day free trial. Once that trial ends, keeping your first business's WhatsApp bot connected needs the separate Core Subscription add-on ($1.49/month, first month free). Adding another business is a one-time $2.50 purchase; connecting its WhatsApp is $1.50/month. Everything is billed entirely through the Microsoft Store - FrontDesk Assistant never sees or stores your payment details.
GETTING STARTED
Install, open FrontDesk Assistant, pick your business type, and scan a QR code from the WhatsApp account you want your business to run on - exactly like linking WhatsApp Web. From there, the bot is live. A "?" button on every screen opens a complete in-app guide covering every feature, every screen, and what to find where.
