Trekplan: Multi-Stop Route Planner for Field Teams

Stop planning routes in a spreadsheet.

Trekplan takes any CSV or Excel list of GPS points — job sites, masts, meters, farms, stores — and turns it into optimized multi-day field routes: grouped into day-routes, split across your teams and depots, with the driving cut down while you watch.

A real run: 520 communication masts across the Western Cape → 184 day-routes for 6 teams in about 3 seconds, with 209 km of driving removed. The screenshots are that kind of run, live in the app: the optimiser untangling routes on a real coastline map, a green-to-red route-quality view, and the total-driving graph falling.

WHAT YOU GET OUT
• An Excel plan your crews work from — dashboard, one row per route, one row per stop in visit order
• A Google Earth map (KML) your manager can actually look at
• GPX files for handheld GPS — one per team, so each field worker gets only their own route
• An estimated cost for the whole plan, in your currency — give it your cost per km and per night away, and it decides overnight stays on money, not just distance

BUILT FOR REAL FIELD WORK
Teams and depots with true base → sites → base daily driving. Overnight trips only where they beat driving home. No stretched routes: every route stays within the distance you set. Isolated-site rescue. Optional real road distances via your own free OpenRouteService key. The same input always gives the identical plan, so you can explain a schedule to a crew or a client.

ANY LAYOUT, ANY LOCALE
Column names are detected automatically. Decimal degrees, comma decimals, degrees-minutes-seconds and hemisphere letters all load; semicolon CSVs from a comma-decimal Excel just work. Km or miles.

WHY ONE-TIME?
Route software rents at $100+ per vehicle per month, every month. Trekplan is one price, once, and it keeps working even if I stop selling it. Updates arrive through the Store. Try the full app free for 15 days before you buy.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your site data never leaves your PC. No account, no sign-in, no telemetry, no licence server. The only network call it can make is the optional real-roads lookup, with your own key, and it is off by default.
