Virtualization Technology

InstallAware Virtualization provides a virtual file system and a virtual registry (a virtual environment) to each virtualized application. The virtual file system and the virtual registry are located in process memory. Each file system call (create file, open file, etc.) and each registry call are preprocessed by the InstallAware Virtualization Engine, and appropriately redirected to either the virtualization layer or the physical underlying system.

Industrial Strength Application Virtualization

Application virtualization works with a single application, unlike virtual machine solutions which virtualize a full computer together with its own operating system and hardware resources.

Isolated Sandboxes

Virtualized applications run inside their own sandbox and are isolated from the underlying operating system and environment, and other virtualized applications. Each virtual application has its own virtual file system and virtual registry.
