NotesAI gives your useful thoughts, saved passages and links a home on your Windows PC. Capture what matters, organize it into topics, and return to the context when you need it.

SAVE THE THOUGHT WHILE IT IS FRESH
Paste text or a URL into a new capture, or use a global keyboard shortcut to capture copied text from another app. Add tags, edit your notes in Markdown and keep your library close at hand from the system tray.

FIND YOUR WAY BACK TO THE IDEA
Browse by topic or tag, filter your captures, and search with a combination of keyword matching and on-device semantic retrieval. Ask questions about your library and follow the source references behind AI answers.

CHOOSE HOW YOU USE AI
Connect a compatible local model server or configure your own supported remote AI provider. Embeddings run on your computer. When you choose a remote model, relevant note passages and conversation context are sent to that provider. Review suggested topics before applying them.

MAKE THE SPACE YOURS
Choose light, dark or system appearance and a color palette that suits you. Export and restore local snapshots, or configure optional Google Drive backups.

BEFORE YOU START
Requires Windows 11 on an Intel or AMD 64-bit PC and Microsoft Edge WebView2. Initial setup downloads the embedding model. Internet access is needed for online content, remote AI and Google Drive backup. A text-generation model and paid AI service are not included: bring a compatible local model or your own remote API account. Provider fees may apply. Google Drive backup requires your own Google Desktop OAuth client setup. Website and video transcript imports depend on source availability. AI answers may be inaccurate; check their sources. Notes and backup files are not encrypted by NotesAI.
