Beschrijving

Tiger is a free, open source (MIT) API client for testing REST, GraphQL and SOAP APIs. It is a local-first alternative to Postman, Insomnia and Bruno: no account, no cloud sync, and your requests never leave your computer.

Every request is a plain-text .tiger file in a folder you own, so you can keep collections in Git, review API changes in pull requests, and share them with your team.

What you can do with Tiger:

- Send REST, GraphQL and SOAP requests with any method, headers, query parameters and body (JSON, XML, form data, multipart with file upload).
- Use environments and secrets with {{variable}} interpolation, plus dynamic values like {{$uuid}} and {{$timestamp}}.
- Authenticate with Bearer, Basic, API key or OAuth 2.0 client credentials. Proxy support and client certificates (mTLS).
- Write pre-request and test scripts in JavaScript. Scripts run in an isolated sandbox with no access to your files. Postman scripts (pm.test, pm.expect, pm.environment) keep working after import.
- Save values from a response into variables and chain requests together.
- Run a whole collection or folder in order with pass or fail results, or load test a request with concurrency and p50 / p95 timings.
- Team sync without Git jargon: one Sync with team button, a clear list of your changes, and side-by-side conflict choices.
- Import from Postman, Insomnia, Bruno, OpenAPI / Swagger, WSDL and curl. Export to Postman, OpenAPI or curl.
- Connect AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor through the built-in MCP server, so they can list, read and run your requests.
- Keyboard-first: command palette, shortcuts overlay, full keyboard navigation, screen reader announcements and Windows High Contrast support.
