Description
BLX Waiter is the companion app for waitstaff working on the Blue Lotus POS system. Built for tablets and phones on the restaurant floor, it lets your team take orders, manage tables, and send tickets to the kitchen without ever going back to the till.
BLX Waiter connects to your restaurant's Blue Lotus POS server over your local network. It is designed for restaurants that already use, or are setting up, Blue Lotus POS — it is not a standalone ordering or food delivery app.
KEY FEATURES
• Quick PIN sign-in — each waiter signs in with their own PIN, no shared logins.
• Table & section management — see which tables are open, occupied, or reserved at a glance.
• Order types — dine-in, take-away, and other delivery types configured in your POS.
• Menu browsing — categories, items, modifiers, and combos pulled straight from your POS menu.
• Live order building — add items, apply modifiers, add notes, and adjust quantities before sending.
• Kitchen ticket (KOT) printing — send orders straight to the kitchen printer.
• Hold & recall orders — put an order on hold and pick it back up from any device.
• Customer lookup — search existing customers or add new ones for take-away and delivery orders.
• Supervisor approvals — void and cancellation actions can require supervisor PIN confirmation.
• Device approval — new devices must be approved by a POS supervisor before they can take orders, keeping your restaurant network secure.
REQUIREMENTS
• A Blue Lotus POS installation running on your restaurant's network.
• A device (phone or tablet) connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your POS server.
