InstantDj was developed by a dedicated ballroom DJ, dancer, and software developer with the goal of creating a user-friendly DJ app - without the complexity and cost of professional DJ software, but with significantly more features than a simple music or stream player.
At the heart of the app is professional audio processing with tone control, tempo adjustment, compressor, limiter, beginning/end silence detection, and a wide range of effects - for punchy, balanced sound that sounds equally good from song to song.
Adjust the next track at your leisure through your headphones while the audience is already listening to the current song, or let entire evenings run fully automatically with smooth but clearly defined transitions.

InstantDj supports two completely separate audio outputs or devices. The music for your audience plays through the main output, while through the headphone output you can preview the next track in parallel, inaudibly to everyone else, find the right entry point, and prepare the transition. This workflow is exactly what makes the difference between a simple player and real DJing.

🎚️ Fully automatic or manual
With Auto Playback, your playlist plays through on its own and smoothly fades each track into the next - ideal for parties where you want to take care of other things. Whenever you want, you can take over again: fade-in and fade-out times, track overlap, and the earlier start of the next song can be freely configured and even saved individually for each song.

🎛️ Pro-level sound with depth
Behind the clear interface is powerful audio processing: classic three-band tone control (bass, mids, treble), separate tempo and pitch controls, echo, reverb, compressor, limiter/maximizer, harmonic exciter, stereo widening, transient shaper with numerous presets, as well as chorus, flanger, and phaser. The dynamic normalizer automatically balances song passages with different volume levels, so that nothing stands out or gets lost. All settings can be permanently saved for each song.

✀ AI audio stem separation for up to 6 stems
After the appropriate AI model has been downloaded, up to 6 audio stems can be separated automatically: vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments. This allows you to dynamically highlight or mute individual stems. On Windows and Linux, AI audio stem separation is supported with NVIDIA CUDA, making processing approximately ten times faster than on the CPU.

🥁 Always keep an eye on the BPM
Automatic BPM detection determines the tempo of your tracks - statically for the entire song and dynamically in real time around the current playback position. For tracks with a genre or type, colored speed zones and an easy-to-understand classification from "very slow" to "very fast" are available when BPM ranges have been configured. This allows you to optimally adjust the playback speed to the track's dance type and your dance audience.

📂 Your music, perfectly organized
The song browser searches your drives and folders at lightning speed - either in Explorer mode or through freely selectable custom folders, optionally recursively including subfolders. Sort by name, modification date, recently played, BPM, length, or rating. New files appear automatically through folder monitoring, and you can drag and drop tracks directly into your collection or playlist. With star ratings and colored genres and categories, you can effortlessly keep even large libraries under control. Detailed audio file properties reveal the format, bitrate, level, dynamics, frequency response, and complete playback history.

💾 Playlists that travel with you
Save any number of named playlists and load them with one click. Your lists are automatically stored on the same drives from which the music originates - so you can access them anywhere via your USB stick or external hard drive, regardless of which computer the list was created on. On request, the current playlist is automatically saved when exiting and restored the next time you start the app.

📱 Your smartphone becomes a remote control and streaming output device
Activate the integrated remote control (without installing an extra app) from any mobile device. Scan the QR code and control InstantDj from anywhere: start and stop playback, change tracks, adjust the volume, reorder the playlist, and queue new songs using the mobile song explorer. If desired, you can even stream the live audio directly to your smartphone if you need to leave the venue while the party is still going.

⌚ Precise advance calculation of the start time
The start time of every upcoming track in the playlist is automatically calculated and displayed. This way, you always know when a song will start and can optimally plan the event's schedule. The time calculation is accurate to the second and takes the configured fade-in and fade-out times, idle times, tempo adjustments, etc. into account.

🔌 Stable at every gig
The main and headphone outputs can be assigned separately to fixed devices, given custom device names, and automatically reactivated as soon as a device becomes available. If an audio device is accidentally disconnected, InstantDj continues searching for it in the background and resumes playback as soon as it returns - or switches to another device of your choice. In addition, the program controls the audio devices through isolated system processes, ensuring exact and uninterrupted audio output even under heavy system load - so nothing goes silent when it matters.

⌨️ Quick control by keyboard
Frequently used actions can be assigned to freely configurable keyboard shortcuts - from previewing and jumping within headphone playback to inserting selected tracks into the playlist. This makes DJing flow smoothly, even with a programmable keypad.

💡 Clean and ready to go
The modern, dark interface is clearly structured, easy to understand, and designed for smooth operation. A full-screen mode puts the music front and center - without distractions.

🔇 No professional DJing
