Description
"Why do I race? That's easy: My life is adrift, full of roadblocks, detours and failed dreams, always surrounded by narrow minded people that all they do is complain and criticize. That is why, when the night falls, I put my helmet on, get on my bike and drive away. Sometimes I just wander. Sometimes I drive as fast as I can, not sure if I'm racing towards the finish line or fleeing from where I started.
"Annoyed for sharing the highway, I weave through flowing traffic as the street lights fly by, pointing out how fast I'm going. I become one with the road, overwhelmed by the exhilarating yet terrifying feeling when carving the curve, sensing the heat radiating from the pavement that's sweeping by, just barely a few inches below my feet. I don't hesitate to dive head on into dark, long tunnels, knowing that, at the end, there will always be light.
"While the wind plays with my hair and messes with my outfit, I feel free and, for a moment, not even gravity can hold me back.
