1. Insuring your money
Every Deposit made on ALAT is insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
2. Transaction Screening
We use our proprietary systems and international databases to detect and prevent sanction violations, money laundering and fraud in transactions.
3. Security Certifications
WEMABANK is certified by PCIDSS to ensure the security of users' card-related transactions against data theft and fraud. We have also received formal recognition from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for our compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) data protection and privacy laws.
4. Fraud Protection
In addition to our automated systems, ALAT’s Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, Issue Resolution, and Fraud Prevention Teams, work full-time to intercept suspicious transactions, freeze suspected fraudsters’ accounts, carry out further investigations and follow up with reports.
