Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps.

• Your Projects
Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule.

• Your Areas
Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion.

    • Improved the fade effect when list contents were obscured by system UI elements.
    • Adjusted the navigation bar button styles of many dialogs on iOS 26.
    • Fixed a bug where some buttons didn’t have the correct border appearance.
    • Fixed a bug where scroll indicators would be cut-off by the rounded corners of the window/device.
    • Fixed a bug where the expanded to-do toolbar would disappear while presenting the Delete confirmation.
    • Fixed a bug where sharing from Apple Maps into Things didn’t work correctly.
    • Fixed a bug where, if editing text, Cmd+LeftArrow would navigate back rather than move the cursor to the beginning of the line.
    • Fixed a crash that would occur when copying and pasting a to-do from a repeating project into another list (e.g. Today).
    • Improved the Todoist importer (now requires iOS 17.4 or later).


    THINGS 3.22

    Things is ready for iOS and watchOS 26, with a new app icon, an entirely refreshed interface, more styles for the icon and widgets, and a control button on Apple Watch.


    FRESH LOOK & FEEL

    • Things’ interface has been completely refreshed in every corner. You’ll notice increased rounding of corners for windows, dialogs, and to-dos; and glassy buttons that reflect and refract their surroundings.
    • Things’ icon has been refined and realigned to sit beautifully within iOS 26. It’s familiar at a glance – and unmistakably Things.
    • Icon & widget styles: In addition to the Dark and Tinted styles, iOS 26 introduces Clear – a glass-like style that lets your wallpaper shine through. To change your style on iPhone, long-press your Home Screen, then tap Edit > Customize.


    CONTROL BUTTON ON APPLE WATCH

    Things’ handy New To-Do control is now available on Apple Watch. Press the side button to reveal Control Center and tap Edit. The control button lets you quickly create a new to-do, via swipe, type, or talk.
