Texty works anywhere WiFi is available and supports modern RCS features such as high resolution photo and video sharing, typing indicators, read receipts, and file transfers. Photos and videos can also be shared in full resolution with iPhone users running iOS 18 or later.
Core functionality, including message notifications, is available at no cost.
Texty Pro adds additional productivity and customization features:
• Reply to messages directly from notifications
• Copy one-time passcodes from notifications with a single click
• Show unread message counts on the Dock icon
• Choose custom notification sounds
• Start new conversations from the Dock icon menu
• Adjust the interface scale from 50% to 200%
• Choose a custom download folder
• Control how the Dock icon responds to new messages
• Customize scroll bar style
• Keep the Texty window fixed to its current Space or follow the active one

• Re-designed the settings window to make it clear which features are included in Texty Pro.
• Initial pairing now defaults to Google sign-in, offering better integration with services such as attaching photos directly from Google Photos.
• Modified the zoom feature to now support a range of 50–200%, with 5% increments for finer control.
• Settings window position is now saved and restored across app launches.
• Significantly improved the efficiency of the JavaScript code, making Texty smoother and more responsive, especially when using the emoji or GIF pickers.
• Updated help popovers with additional padding to improve readability.
• Improved console logging by removing unnecessary entries and adding useful new ones for future diagnostics.
• Replies sent from notifications will now be copied to the clipboard and an error message will be shown if the message fails to send.
• Fixed an issue where Texty could open to a blank page.
• Fixed an issue where replies from notifications containing certain characters would fail to send.
• Fixed a rare issue where the app could become unresponsive after multiple sleep/wake cycles.
Note: Texty now requires macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
