Beschrijving
Magic Disk Benchmark runs a write and a read test on any drive connected to your Mac and shows the result as it happens: the speed of every second, not just a single number at the end.
Features:
• Write and Read, Side by Side
Each run is drawn as two curves on one shared scale, so you can see at a glance that a drive reads twice as fast as it writes - and where it slows down under sustained load.
• Every Drive
Internal SSDs, external HDDs, USB sticks, SD cards and network shares. Network shares are measured for writes only, where a read test would only report your file cache.
• Speed Over Time
The curve shows the whole run second by second, with the write phase, the preparing phase and the read phase marked separately, plus the minimum, maximum and variance of each phase.
• Trend Across Runs
Compare every comparable run on a drive in one chart and hover any point to see when it was measured and what it reached. A drive that is degrading shows up here long before it fails.
• This Drive's Records
Every result is measured against the fastest run that drive has ever recorded, so you know immediately whether something has changed.
• Benchmark Browser
Browse every run ever made, sorted by drive, date, speed or duration, and open any of them to see its full curve again.
• Made for Repeat Testing
Set the duration, the block size and how many times a test should repeat - from a single pass to a continuous stress test - per drive.
• Nothing Leaves Your Mac
No account, no tracking, no upload. Results are stored in a local database on your machine.
