■Story
The traveling troupe "Tantalus" plots to kidnap Princess Garnet of the Kingdom of Alexandria.
Coincidentally, Garnet was planning to leave her country, and as a result, Zidane, a member of the Tantalus gang, ends up traveling with Garnet and her knight bodyguard, Steiner.
The group, joined by the young black mage Vivi and Quina of the Qu tribe, learns about the secrets of their own birth and the existence of the crystals, the source of life, during their journey.
