midiOS is a new kind of instrument.

It transforms your iPhone into a responsive, expressive performance surface using touch, motion, and a real-time harmonic engine — allowing you to play melody, harmony, rhythm, and modulation instantly.

No hardware.
No setup friction during performance.
Just play.

HOW YOU PLAY

midiOS opens ready to play.

• Tap pads to play notes, chords, and scales
• Tap bank colors to change musical modes (major, minor, etc.)
• Swipe to switch between notes, chords, and 7th chords

While holding a pad:

• Pull your finger toward you → Aftertouch
• Tilt your phone left/right → Mod Wheel
• Swipe → octave shifts, pitch bend, or chord inversion

You don’t need to configure anything — the instrument is already set up musically.

PERFORMANCE MODE

Long press the LiveGrid button to activate the chord + arpeggiator engine.

• Arpeggiator locks to your DAW’s BPM and phase
• Continues smoothly across chord changes
• Produces musical, connected note movement

This allows continuous performance without restarting patterns.

HOW IT CONNECTS

Connect your iPhone to your Mac using a USB cable and control your DAW in real time.

midiOS uses a companion Bridge app on your Mac to communicate with your DAW.

• Works with any MIDI-compatible DAW
• Optimized for Ableton Live with deep integration

With Ableton, midiOS installs as a Control Surface and enables:

• Clip launching and scene control
• Real-time visual feedback
• Transport and track control
• Two-way communication with your session
