Description
At its core, Dragon Blaze blends Psikyo’s trademark arcade difficulty with a unique gameplay twist: the dragon separation mechanic. Players can detach their dragon mid-battle, sending it forward as a powerful autonomous attack unit. While separated, the rider fights alone with reduced reach but gains strategic advantages through concentrated fire and close-range damage opportunities. Mastering when to separate and reunite with the dragon becomes a defining skill that shapes advanced play.
The game features six main stages with branching layouts, escalating enemy formations, and mid-stage transformations that keep the action unpredictable. True to Psikyo style, bosses shift into multiple forms, often emerging as mythic beasts or corrupted sorcerers. A hidden final boss becomes available when players meet specific conditions, offering a greater challenge and completing the game’s true ending.
Each of the four protagonists—Quaid, Sonia, Ian, and Rob—brings distinct attack styles, bomb patterns, and dragon abilities:
