Record your sailing session
Start a session before launching and the app records your sailing track using GPS while you sail.
The sailing display shows key information at a glance:
• Speed
• Heading
• Heel feedback for training
• Large, easy-to-read display for use on the water
Sessions are recorded automatically and saved on the device so you can review them later.
Compare boats and tracks
Load multiple sailing tracks and replay them together to compare performance.
This makes it easy to see:
• The lines different boats sailed
• Boat positioning relative to each other
• Speed differences along the course
• Tactical decisions and manoeuvres
Seeing boats move side-by-side often explains more than numbers alone.
Fast post-sail debrief
Dinghy Coach is designed for quick post-sail analysis at the club.
After sailing you can replay a session and scrub through time to discuss what happened while it’s still fresh.
It’s ideal for short coaching debriefs where sailors can clearly see:
• where gains were made
• where time was lost
• how positioning changed during a race or training exercise
Optional coach communication
For training groups, Dinghy Coach also supports push-to-talk voice communication between coach and sailors.
This allows coaches to give real-time feedback during training sessions.
