Inkly — Read & Draw in Books
Inkly is an EPUB reader where your drawings live inside the book — and where friends can draw in the same book together.
Read in a smooth, continuous scroll, sketch your reactions and ideas right between the paragraphs, and invite others to illustrate the same copy. Every drawing has a transparent background and blends into the text on any theme, as if it had always been part of the story.
— DRAW TOGETHER IN THE SAME BOOK —
Create a shared room for any book and invite others with a simple code. Everyone reads their own copy, but drawings sync across all devices in real time. Watch a friend's sketch appear between the same paragraphs you're reading. Each person's drawings are signed with their name, and you can see who illustrated what.
It works like a shared margin — everyone brings their own pen.

Open any standard EPUB file from your device. Continuous vertical scroll with no page-flipping, light and dark themes, adjustable text size, automatic position saving, full table of contents and quick chapter navigation.
— DRAWING INSIDE THE BOOK —
Long-press any paragraph to open the drawing canvas above it. Drawings are transparent and embed directly into the text — no frames, no boxes. Move, cut, copy, and paste drawings between paragraphs. Re-open a book and every drawing is exactly where you left it.
— THE PEN TOOL —
A finger is not a brush. Inkly includes a precision pen mode designed for finger drawing on a touchscreen: one finger draws while a second finger controls width, opacity, blur, and stroke smoothing in real time. Adjust the line as you make it, instead of stopping to fiddle with sliders.
— SHARE A BEAUTIFUL CARD —
Turn any drawing plus the surrounding sentence into an illustrated quote card for Instagram, Stories, or messages. The card is generated locally — nothing is uploaded. Pick which sentence to include, trim it, and share.
— EXPORT YOUR ANNOTATED BOOK —
Save the entire book — with all drawings from every participant — as a new EPUB file. Send it to a friend, archive it, or open it in another reader. Your version of the book becomes a real, portable file.
— PRIVACY —
Inkly does not collect personal information, does not contain third-party SDKs, and does not show advertising. Shared rooms use a lightweight sync server that stores only drawing data — no accounts, no emails, no tracking. Books themselves never leave your device. Uninstall the app and everything local is gone with it.
Because Inkly does not collect data or show ads, it is suitable for readers of all ages, including children.
— WHAT INKLY IS NOT —
Inkly does not have a built-in bookstore. It does not support DRM-protected files. It does not require an account. It is not a social network — shared rooms are private, accessible only by invitation code.
