Key Features
Interactive Map
The app includes a dynamic, vertically oriented metro map displaying all 14 Line 1 stations. Users can pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and explore stations such as Ben Thanh, Opera House, and Suoi Tien. The metro line is shown in blue, with clearly marked station nodes for easy readability.
Route Planning
Plan journeys by selecting “From” and “To” stations from a searchable list. The app uses a Breadth-First Search (BFS) algorithm to compute the shortest route and highlights the path in yellow on the map. Fare estimates are calculated using a 7,000 VND base fare plus 400 VND per station segment.
Nearby Stations
Using Android location services, the app detects metro stations within a 5 km radius and updates results in real time as you move—ideal for quick, on-the-go navigation.
Operational Details
The app clearly displays Line 1 operating hours (5:00 AM–11:30 PM) and train frequency (every 4.5 minutes), helping users plan trips within service windows.
User-Friendly Android Interface
Developed using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, the app features a modern Android UI with a scrollable layout, integrated map view, route planner, station details panel, and a full-screen map mode for detailed exploration.
Real-Time Ready Architecture
While the current release uses static timetable and fare data, the app is designed to support future real-time updates, including live schedules and fare adjustments.

Open EGK HCMC Map to access the vertical metro map and planning tools.
Search Stations
Enter your start and destination stations using searchable text fields with real-time filtered suggestions.
Find Route
Tap “Find Route” to generate the optimal path, displayed on the map with station lists and fare estimates.
Explore Nearby
Enable location access to instantly identify nearby Line 1 stations.
Adjust View
Use pinch-to-zoom, drag-to-pan, and double-tap gestures to switch between standard and full-screen map views.
Technical Highlights
The app is built using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Location Services, ensuring smooth performance across modern Android devices. Station coordinates are based on official Line 1 planning data available as of September 2025. Fare calculations follow current HCMC Metro policies and may be updated to reflect official changes.
