The EGK Bangkok RailTrans app is your essential companion for navigating Bangkok’s extensive public transit network, seamlessly integrating the BTS Skytrain and MRT systems into one intuitive platform. Designed for both locals and international travelers, this app delivers a smooth, user-friendly experience that makes getting around the city simple, fast, and reliable.
The app supports six major transit lines: BTS Sukhumvit, BTS Silom, BTS Gold Line, MRT Blue Line, MRT Purple Line, and the Yellow/Pink Monorail lines. With a complete database of 171 stations, users can confidently explore Bangkok knowing they have accurate, structured transit information at their fingertips.
At the heart of the app is an interactive schematic map designed for clarity and ease of use. Each transit line is displayed in a distinct color to help users quickly recognize routes. Stations are clearly labeled with names and codes, while major interchange stations such as Siam, Asok/Sukhumvit, Tao Poon, Mo Chit/Chatuchak Park, and Sala Daeng/Si Lom are visually highlighted for fast identification. Pinch-to-zoom functionality allows users to smoothly scale the map for detailed station viewing or broad network overview, with a convenient reset option to return to the default view.
The built-in route finder makes trip planning effortless. Users simply select their origin and destination stations, and the app calculates the most efficient route across BTS and MRT systems. The calculated route is visually highlighted on the map and displayed as a step-by-step station list, with transfer points clearly marked to reduce confusion during travel. This ensures reliable navigation even for complex journeys involving multiple line changes.
For travelers on the move, the Nearby Stations feature uses device location services to detect and display the five closest stations based on the user’s current position. Each station is shown with its line color and distance, enabling quick decisions when entering the transit system.
The app is built using SwiftUI, offering a modern, fluid interface with smooth scrolling, responsive controls, and a clean visual layout. The map is embedded in a scrollable view to allow easy exploration of the full network, while route planning and nearby station tools are organized in clearly defined sections with intuitive visual indicators.
EGK Bangkok RailTrans removes the complexity of navigating Bangkok’s transit system. Whether commuting daily, visiting attractions, or exploring new neighborhoods, the app offers dependable navigation support. Offline access ensures that maps and station data remain available even without an internet connection.
