ABOUT SOUNDCAVE
Soundcave was born out of our concern when we saw the lack of music played in cafes, hotels, and restaurants in Indonesia. In 2024, we understood that MSMEs, cafes, restaurants, and hotels needed a legal music solution that was affordable and easy to use.

KEY FEATURES
🎵 Background Music Playback
SoundCave uses Android's foreground service, MediaPlayback, to play music continuously. Music continues playing when you:
• Switch to another app
• Lock the device screen
• Minimize the app
During playback, a persistent notification is displayed in the status bar with full playback controls (play, pause, next song). This service is only active while you're playing music and stops when you pause or close the player. This is the app's core feature.

🎥 Live Streaming
The Go Live feature allows you to broadcast live video via RTMP to your audience. The camera and microphone are used only while you're in the foreground broadcast and request the CAMERA & RECORD_AUDIO runtime permission. The broadcast runs in the foreground and will stop if you exit the broadcast.

FOREGROUND SERVICE
SoundCave uses ONE type of Android foreground service as a core feature:

🎵 MediaPlayback
Used to continuously play music and podcasts while the app is in the background or on the locked screen. When active, a persistent notification is displayed with play/pause/skip controls. The service starts when the user presses Play and stops when the user pauses or closes the player.

Permission details:
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE + FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK
• Only started upon user-initiated request
• Always displays a clear persistent notification
• Can be paused/stopped by the user at any time
• Without this service, music will stop when the app is in the background — core features will not function.

The CAMERA & RECORD_AUDIO permissions are used for the Go Live feature (foreground preview & broadcast) through runtime permissions, not through the foreground service type camera/microphone.
